Updated e2vector (Illustration AIR App)

December 10, 2008

Adobe have very kindly bought me a Thwarte code signing certificate for my AIR applications.  So I’ve released a new version of my e2vector application.  This update includes minor bug fixes, as well as the certificate.  The certificate ensures that the installation confirmation box is less severe than the previous self-signed “Danger! Install at your peril” (or words to that effect) warning.

I’ll be updating this application on the Adobe AIR marketplace soon, and my e2spreadsheet application will be joining it too.

It’s great that potential users of my application won’t be too put off installing.  However, the certificate did bloat the .air file size.  From about 200Kbytes to about 600Kbytes.  Not that this matters too much, but I was quite proud of the tiny (non-Flex) footprint of these applications previously.
